Things to let go of

Doubting yourself, starting to compare yourself to others, and fearing your failure are things to let go of as they destroy your self-confidence and your potential.

Letting go means releasing our fixation on these things. It doesn’t mean we’ll forget them.

We have enough faith that we’ll get the things we need to survive and be happy. Why Is Letting Go Of So Hard? There are various reasons why letting go is so hard.

It’s never too late.

Every day is a new opportunity to change everything you want to change. Every moment is an opportunity to turn your life around the way you want it to be.

Think always positively and let go of the negative things and toxicity, such as unrealistic expectations, comparing yourself to others, fear of failure, being surrounded by unsupportive people, hiding unexpressed feelings, and needing to be in control of everything.

All those things don’t positively impact our life and career and don’t support our growth.

Having unrealistic expectations can damage our morale, be reasonable and set smart and reachable goals you can achieve in the short term so you can reward and motivate yourself.

Everyone has a path and a different plan, don’t compare yourself to others; you can read my article Understand your progress and perform better.

Fear of failure will affect your self-confidence negatively; prepare a plan B to help you feel more confident about moving forward.

Being surrounded by unsupportive people can be avoided easily; sometimes, it is good to find happiness in being alone. It is okay to sit in a cafeteria alone or watch a movie alone.

People are good, but you are better.

We cannot control everything, and we must accept this fact and admit it. Otherwise, this will hunt us daily and cause us pain and suffering.

Unexpressed feelings can cause us accumulated stress that will affect our mental health.

Write about your feelings or meditate on them to allow them to go through you.

This takes time—there is no shortcut for releasing your emotions.

Asking for help is essential sometimes as we are all vulnerable, and we can benefit from each other experiences. Asking for help doesn’t make you small; reach for help before it is too late.
