Dubai Customs expands cooperation with vegetable and fruit sector

During the Consultative Council, which was held under the chairmanship of Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director of Dubai Customs, officials discussed a further cooperation with the vegetable and fruit sector.

The meeting focused on how the sector can benefit from the facilities offered by Dubai Customs and how to overcome challenges.

The meeting was attended by Saed Al Awadi, CEO of Dubai Export Development Corporation, and representatives of DP World, Dubai Chamber, Dubai Trade, and the Department of Economic Development.

Musabih said, "It is important we keep up the good work and maintain our achievement of topping the 2018 happiness index at 97.49 percent through more coordination with business groups, members of the Dubai Customs Consultative Council. We do our best to help our clients and partners overcome any challenges they may face in their business and to ensure they have access to our ultra-modern facilities and services in support of Dubai as a world economic hub."

"To ensure a streamlined flow of goods through Dubai into local, regional and global markets, we coordinate with our strategic partners in the local and federal government. We are helping to build momentum towards the establishment of the Dubai Silk Road, the first element in the 50-Year Charter, launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai," he added.
