Elections - A Responsible Campaign

The important event, elections to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, for regional, district and city councils’ deputies will be held in our country at the beginning of the third decade of December of this year.

From the history of any government, it can be seen that elections played an important role in the life of the country, as well as in the life of voters and elected citizens. As our President Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasizes, “The voting process manifests our citizenship, worldwide outlook, political and legal culture.” The upcoming elections will be held for the first time in accordance with the new Electoral Code. In this regard, the Central Election Commission began preparations for them in advance. On September 20, a new election campaign started in our country.

At the current time, the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan has appointed trainers who will organize seminars and trainings in the places, nominating candidates for chairmen and deputies, secretaries and members of district and district election commissions.

The process trainers trainings was held during three days. The number of the trainers nowadays are 54, in accordance with the schedule, 38 of them have already begun their work in the places. There are the heads of district justice departments, teachers and CEC experts among the trainers. Also were involved regional employees of organizational-control groups of Jizzakh city and district khokimiyats. Their task responsibilities include itself, organizing district and precinct election commissions in accordance with applicable law, as well as organizing high-level elections.

Political parties also are active in organizing process of elections. For them, courses are held on the topic "Elections: Strategy and Tactics of Victory." Currently, all parties have conducted training seminars, for instance UzLiDeP and PDPU five classes each, the Democratic Party of Uzbekistan “Milliy Tiklanish” - three, the Social Democratic Party of Uzbekistan “Adolat” and the Ecological Party - two training seminars.

In the training course the main point given to the essence and significance of the new Electoral Code, and to the development of electoral strategies in the organization of the upcoming elections by the parties. Also paid particular attention to the formation of the image of parties and candidates for deputies, as well as for preparation of the election programs of candidates for deputies. The pre-election process provides voluminous information about the organization of election campaigning and tactics of the upcoming elections, their technologies, establishing close ties with the media. At the same time, the significant point given to the development of the main idea and slogan of the upcoming elections. Nowadays, courses are organized on a regional level.
