The foiled terrorist attack on the Belgian PM is an attack by Islam on each of us

In recent days, following the terrorist threat against Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever, among others, there has been much discussion in our country about drones, 3D printers, IEDs (Improvised Explosive Devices), and, of course, our "radicalised youth". The motives for this attempted attack were barely discussed. The elephant in the room was, traditionally, not mentioned: Islam.

By Filip Dewinter
Earlier this month, Belgian police arrested three people suspected of plotting an attack on our prime minister. Prosecutors described the alleged plot as a "jihadist-inspired terrorist attack" on the PM and other politicians.

A supposed jihadist attack. The word "Jihadist" is a problematic term that obscures the reality. These young people with Moroccan and Chechen roots hate us. Why else would they want to kill a prime minister and a mayor who speak moderately about Islam and advocate for a European Islam?

De Wever recently published a book, "Clash of Civilisations?", together with the moderate imam Khalid Benhaddou, in which he argues that "Islam must become part of Flemish identity."

Are De Wever and the young Antwerp mayor—she recently became a mother—Els Van Doesburg Islamophobes and racists who brought this foiled attempted attack on themselves, as is often claimed? Absolutely not! Or does it have to do with Gaza and Palestine?

Not at all!

Prime Minister De Wever went to the UN in New York to announce that he wanted to recognize Palestine—albeit conditionally. Nothing but conciliatory and Islamophilic language. And yet he had to die! Why?

Hitlist
De Wever shouldn't hate Islam to be on the "hit list" of Muslim terrorists. He must die because, as prime minister, De Wever represents our European and Western society, civilization, and way of life. He must die because he is a kafir, an unbeliever, a non-Muslim.

According to the CUTA (Coordination Unit for Threat Analysis), jihadist and Islamic-inspired groups pose the greatest threat to public safety in our country. The OCAD annual report states that they constitute roughly half of all threats.

These often involve people who have lived here for several generations, people who have obtained Belgian citizenship. Yet they hate us and our society. This hatred for our society is so intense that they are willing to use violence and commit terrorist attacks to undermine it.

This year alone, security services in Belgium opened 80 terror cases. That's more than in the entire previous year. The profiles are the same: young men from Islamic countries, some known for minor crimes, who suddenly, and often very quickly, "radicalize and plan a terrorist attack. Incidentally, 56% of the terror suspects are in Belgium illegally.

Failure of integration
To ask the question is to answer it: what are Muslims who find our society and way of life decadent and reprehensible doing here? What are Muslims who hate our society doing here?

Why is there hardly any criticism from the so-called moderate Muslims who live alongside them? How did it get to this point that we give these kinds of parasites free education, shelter, housing, benefits, healthcare, and even a pension if necessary?

Dar-al-harb versus Dar-al-Islam
The answer is simple: The integration of many of these Muslims has never been successful. In theory, yes, but not in practice. It's a false sense of integration. They learn Dutch, they go to school, they live among and with us, but in reality, they hate us and despise us.

That hatred has everything to do with Islam. Islam is a religion—an ideology, if you will—that is opposed to our fundamental values and norms. Islam rejects democracy, freedom of speech, equality between men and women, the separation of church and state… and therefore considers it legitimate to eradicate our way of life and replace it with an Islamic society.

It's not without reason that Islam divides the world into two parts: the "dar-al-harb" (land of war) and the "dar-al-Islam" (land of peace and Islam). Targeting, attacking, and physically eliminating unbelievers is an essential part of Islam. Jihad is therefore a sacred duty of every Muslim. In short: the Quran's "license to kill."

Islamic ghettos: breeding grounds for Jihadism
We now know the true nature of Islam, but why do we tolerate and even cherish Islam here? The fact is that Europe's multicultural naiveté knows no bounds. The urge for diversity is so strong that we even embrace Islam.

Anti-racism and multicultural ideology have led to suicidal behaviour. For example, we enthusiastically tolerate (radical) mosques, Quranic schools, and even entire neighbourhoods and districts that have since been completely Islamized, with only halal shops, Islamic "cultural centres" (read: mosques), teahouses, veiled women, men in djellabahs, and shops with Arabic signs.

In our major cities, we can now choose between the Afghan, Moroccan, or Turkish neighbourhoods, and Pakistanis are also claiming "their" communities. In these neighbourhoods, young people are growing up who have lost all touch with our society. They speak Arabic, dress Muslim, think Islamically, live halal, and above all, hate us.

These segregated, apartheid-style neighbourhoods are the breeding grounds of Islamic terrorism, the breeding grounds of so-called "jihadism" and fundamentalism. We nurse a snake in our breast and think we're doing well in terms of multiculturalism.

The only policy response to the Islamization of our society, which is the root of the terrorist threat, is clear: a halt to immigration; no longer subsidize and facilitate Islam; dismantle the Islamic ghettos; and get rid of the Islamic fundamentalists, jihadists, and radicals!
