The top-5 pet friendly places in Dubai

Dubai is among the most visited cities in the world. With majestic skyscrapers and human-made lakes, the city offers a truly memorable experience to all its visitors. Despite all its charm and glam, the city has been infamous among pet owners.

However, that sentiment has drastically changed in the last few years, and more and more places are allowing pets. Earlier dog owners complained about the lack of pet-friendly eating joints and parks in the city. But, recently, pet owners appreciate the change in the local culture as places have started accommodating pets.

From shops offering dog fashion products to cafes serving doggie treats, there are plenty of fun things that you can do with your canine companion. Here we’ve curated a list of places you can visit with your furry friend. Whether you want to enjoy a nice meal in a restaurant with your pet by your side or take a stroll with him in the park, Dubai has a lot to offer to pet owners looking for a place to hang out.

Burj Park
Burj Park is a popular destination in downtown Dubai. It is surrounded by some of the most iconic buildings in Dubai. Among other things, the Burj Park is a real favourite among dog owners. The place offers multiple experiences while overlooking the gigantic Burj Khalifa, and it is home to the majestic Dubai Fountains.

However, pet owners should be mindful of the fact that dogs must be leashed while at the park and only walk on the pavement. The grass area at the park is off-limits for pets. Follow these rules to have a fun time with your pup in the park.

The Irish Village
If you want to hang out with your furry friend while enjoying a glass of freshly brewed beer, then The Irish Village is where you ought to be. The popular pub is located in the heart of the city, Al Garhoud. It was among the first pet-friendly places in the city. The pub boasts an Irish charm and the view of a serene lake.

From Saturday to Wednesday, the pub/restaurant stays open from 9:00 am to 1:00 am. The closing time extends from an hour on Thursdays and Fridays. Visit The Irish Village to chill out with your pup while soaking in the fantastic Irish culture of the restaurant.

Arrows and Sparrows
Arrows and Sparrows is a café located in the Emaar Business Park, a dog-friendly location. The café is open every day of the week from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm. Here, you can indulge in an amazing menu consisting of a variety of delectable dishes while your furry companion gets doggie treats and water.

The place has received phenomenal reviews from pet owners who’ve appreciated the café staff for being accommodative of the canine and feline companions. Visit the café to enjoy a fresh cup of joe and mouth-watering foods while your furry friend indulges in treats.

Al Qudra Lakes
Pet owners looking for an open space where they can soak in the local sun and spend time surrounded by beautiful human-made lakes can head to the Al Qudra Lakes. This place is trendy among outdoor lovers and pet owners. Here, you can let your pooch run around while basking in the sun and enjoying multiple fun activities like bird watching.

The Lakes is located in the outskirts of southern Dubai. Whether you want to indulge in outdoor activities or enjoy a picnic with your furry friend and loved ones, the Al Quadra Lakes is the perfect destination.
