Federal President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier will officially visit to Uzbekistan in May, 2019.
It was announced during the round table on “Actual issues of cultural and humanitarian cooperation of Uzbekistan and Germany”, which was held in the Committee on Interethnic Relations and Friendly Relations with Foreign Countries under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
It should be mentioned that in January, 2019 during the official visit to Germany President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev invited his German counterpart to visit Uzbekistan. The Federal President declared his readiness to visit our country in upcoming spring.
It also should be noted that more than 10 protocols of intent and investment contracts, which total amount is over 4 billion euros, were signed at the German-Uzbek business forum in Berlin during the visit of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. A meeting with the architect of the RIMC Hotels & Resorts Group (Germany) has recently been held in administration of Tashkent city, where they discussed opportunities for cooperation, in particular, a branded building as a kind of business card of the capital. They also discussed a possible participation of the RIMC Hotels & Resorts Group in the implementation of Ethnopark and the construction of premium hotels in the capital of Uzbekistan. During the visit, a foreign expert conducted a master class for architects in Tashkent.
Also, the last year visit of the senior management officials of this German company to Uzbekistan signed agreements on the participation of the RIMC Hotels & Resorts Group in the implementation of major investment projects in the sphere of tourism in Uzbekistan.
The RIMC Hotels & Resorts Group have implemented about 200 hotel projects worldwide for its 30-year old work.
In addition to the construction of hotels in Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva, the RIMC Hotels & Resorts Group and its German partners intend to introduce direct investments in the construction of modern shopping, business and cultural centers, as well as the modernization of road infrastructure and airports. The total volume of future investments in the tourism industry of Uzbekistan exceeds $ 4 billion.
