The accumulating scandal surrounding former U.S. President Barack Obama is barely getting attention in the mainstream media. His election (2008) was celebrated all over the world, as if a new messiah had stood up to usher in an era of hope and change. That dream is over. Irrefutable evidence has been presented to the Department of Justice indicating that he was a fraud and personally involved in a conspiracy to sabotage Donald Trump’s 2016 victory and Presidency. And there is more that cannot see the light of day.

“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within, for the traitor appears not to be a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, appealing to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist.”
A striking quote often wrongly attributed to Roman philosopher and political theorist Marcus Tullius Cicero, but actually derived from Taylor Caldwell’s 1965 fictitious book, A Pillar of Iron: A Novel of Ancient Rome. A novel that explores the fall of the Roman Empire through corruption, betrayal, and armed conflicts within the vast empire.
Rome's decline was a prolonged process driven by internal strife amongst the elite, political corruption and instability, severe wealth inequality, economic strain from endless wars and overspending, and external (barbarian) invasions.
The U.S. in 2025 faces similar challenges, including intense political polarisation, an expanding gap between the rich and poor, extremely wealthy and powerful individuals with their own agenda operating in the shadows, and exorbitant national debt partly due to prolonged military engagements and mismanagement.
The same fate could have befallen the U.S. if Obama and his companions had succeeded. How painful it is for some to admit, this narrative illustrates the years of political fuss and the presidency of Obama and his alleged misconduct in a nutshell.
Following the shocking revelations from former Democrat Tulsi Gabbard (the current Director of National Intelligence), things do not look good in retrospect for the 44th President of the United States. Even that is understated.
Gabbard detailed a bomb shell claim this summer of an Obama-era cabal’s treasonous conspiracy against Trump and the electorate. If proven in court, dubbed "Obamagate," it will go down in history as one of the biggest political scandals in the United States.
The Russia Collusion Hoax
Let’s keep simple and (fact) checkable. The recent declassification of intelligence documents ordered by Gabbard, allegedly, shows senior Obama administration officials manufactured parts of the 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment that concluded Russia interfered in the 2016 election to help Trump get elected. A matter that divided the U.S. for years.
A treasonous conspiracy led by President Obama and his national security team, including James Clapper (Gabbard’s predecessor), former CIA director John Brennan, former FBI director James Comey, then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton (Trump’s opponent in the 2016 presidential election) and then Vice President Joe Biden. To name a few of those involved.
Intelligence was, again, allegedly, manipulated and manufactured to promote a contrived false narrative falsely claiming: “Russian President Vladimir Putin aspired to help President-elect Trump’s election chances, when possible, by discrediting Secretary Clinton.”
The declassified documents provide detailed descriptions of how Obama directed the creation of a January 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment following Trump's victory over Clinton in the 2016 election. Allegedly, $ 12 million from Clinton's campaign fund was used to finance the project.
It served as the basis for what was essentially a year-long coup against a duly elected President, subverting the will of the electorate and delegitimising Trump’s presidency before it had even started.
In addition, it was used as a pretext by various security agencies for years as a base to spy on Trump, his family, and senior officials from his Administration. A modus operandi resulting in fake dossiers, false arrests, lawsuits, and two failed impeachment attempts. All directed by a deep state that was pulling the strings from behind the scenes.
The most painful part is that the declassified documents allegedly showcase that there was never a serious investigation into Trump or his supposed contact with the Russians. It was a hoax, in Trump’s own words, “the Russia, Russia hoax," for which he was ridiculed by mainstream media dominated by the radical left that reached far beyond the borders of the U.S.
A top-down effort led by an outgoing President and his Administration to plant dirt on a fairly elected candidate. Breaking the long-standing tradition of a peaceful transfer of power.
What happened during Obamagate is not only that the White House and the intelligence community colluded, but the mainstream media itself propagated those same talking points with complete disregard for the truth. Eagerly cutting and pasting ‘leaked’ intel, without abiding by the principle of audi alteram partem.
The declassified materials indicate that Obama was pulling all the strings himself, as per Gabbard.
Please take a moment to let it all sink in. These are not some random or loose allegations that a Reuters fact-checking intern can debunk, but the worst crime anyone in a public role can commit, putting the integrity of the legal system at stake. A matter that concerns all Americans, Democrats and Republicans alike.
As if that is not enough, there is a long list of delicate rumours surrounding Obama’s background and personal life that goes far beyond the scope of this article. There are doubts about his actual place of birth (Hawaii or Kenia), his name, religion and his marriage to his "wife" Michelle.
On various occasions during interviews and public speeches, Obama accidentally referred to his wife, Michelle, as "Michael" (or "Mike"). A recent documentary claimed that Michelle, until 2008, would have filed her annual tax return as a man and that both daughters were adopted.
It could all be a slip of the tongue, a simple mistake or perhaps something else. If this turns out to be true, it will affect the credibility of everything Obama did in his term in office. And the biography ‘Becoming Michelle’ gains a whole other dimension. Just Google the name Michael LaVaughn Robinson and judge for yourself.
Possible prosecution
It remains to be seen if Obama will be prosecuted. Gabbard referred her dossier to the Department of Justice in the fall, just as she did with Comey's file. He is currently in court fighting charges of ‘Obstruction of justice and making false statements’ in his role as FBI Director.
As for Obama, the future looks bleak. Accusations of treason, personally ordering the intelligence agencies to fabricate a dossier of your arch enemies' involvement in a political opponent’s campaign, deliberately creating a false narrative in the media, bought and paid for with money from the campaign fund of a losing political opponent.
For Trump, it is evident that Obama and his companions are guilty. Even though matters do not look good for Obama and his alleged companions, the backbone of the American legal system remains that people accused of crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty. The burden is on the government to overcome that presumption and prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
We are all eagerly awaiting that.
