Sodom and Gomorra at the #Metoo-Lympics in perspective

It is still fresh in our minds: the Satanic Olympic Opening Ceremony. The 2024 opening ceremony comprised drag queens, transgenders, numerous references to the Devil and death and even a whiff of paedophilia. A shocking experience for many. Where was the outcry in the Western mainstream media, and why didn’t the members of the International Olympic Committee keep the honour to themselves and step down?

Any self-respecting Christian was gaping and shouting after watching this year’s unprecedented Olympic charade. Mainstream media around the globe worked overtime to downplay the perverted scenes that had nothing to do with sports tournaments to begin with. Social media was on fire but soon continued to the order of the day.

Let’s start with a brief recap of what happened for those who missed it or are trying to forget.

We saw a primarily nude, blue-tinged singer dressed as the Greek god of wine, Dionysus. Fat and repulsive drag queens and gay dancers lined a table mocking Leonardo da Vinci’s “The Last Supper” portrait of Jesus Christ and his 12 apostles. A performer riding a mechanical horse down the river Seine depicts Death riding a pale horse, an apparent reference from the Book of Revelation in the Bible (6:8).

And I looked and behold a pale horse: and the name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And they were given authority over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence and by wild beasts of the earth.”

Coincidence?

What about the attempt to normalise paedophilia when a dressed-up, sick-looking male dancer with his testicles hanging outside his pants danced behind a child while his colleague-perverts were smiling? Must have been mistake in choreography. Right?

It took the Vatican took over a week to issue a statement saying it was “saddened” by scenes depicted during the opening ceremony amid a global outcry. It figures.

The opening is an essential element of the modern Olympic Games. Traditionally, the ceremonies significantly impact the international media and world audiences and generate a cultural polysemantic meaning. It’s relatively safe to say the organisation wanted to make a statement about sexual religious dogmas most provocatively this year.

But it was hypocrisy all the way.

Nowadays, the religion that has the most significant dogmatic impact– that is even defended by violence - is Islam. What would have happened if that religion had been mocked on that podium instead?

It is evident, seeing the disproportional security measures, that there would have been severe consequences, not only in Paris but all over the (Islamic) world. Imagine the consequences of depicting Islamic holy figures depicted by drag queens. The world would be too small: not just angry believers in front of the TV, but riots and chaos instead. Christians are an easy target; therefore, criticism is not that urgent. The most urgent religions to criticise are religions that can't stand criticism.

Who can still follow the leftist, woke logic?

Blackface is forbidden, and you are a racist (and then some) if you think that it is merely cultural fun. In the Netherlands, we experienced this hypocrisy first-hand. Let's elaborate.

Part of our cultural tradition is the annual celebration of St. Nicolas and Black Pete (a holy man who hands out gifts to poor kids, while Black Pete represents the Devil, symbolising the destiny of those who misbehave).

The legend and celebrations have entirely changed in recent years. Protest after protest by the same wokist types that now celebrate drag queens. Because children dress up and paint their faces like “Pete” (thus black).

It was never racist.

But if we’d be the devil's advocate and would go along with that logic, can anyone tell us why Black Pete is discriminating against people of colour while drag queens are not discriminating against women? Why is the last one being embraced and the first one taboo? Where is the outcry and disgust? If blackface is wrong, why is culturally appropriating womanhood okay?

Seriously?

Hysteria, gallons of make-up, big wigs, glitters, flaunting hooker-like sexuality. Is that the new, leftist, normal? It is perverted, sickening and demeaning towards down-to-earth biological women who want to be taken intellectually seriously.

Whatever happened to fight for women’s rights? They still have miles to go in significant parts of the world. In fact, in many Middle Eastern countries, women still struggle to get the rights they deserve.

There is a surge of hypocrisy taking control over the Western World. The Olympic Opening Ceremony was the climax of that perversity. Who cares about the true intentions of such an appealing exercise? Have we ever consented to this?

What about the people’s right to say no to these fetishes rubbed in our faces? “Olym-pics” this year were more shocking than dick-pics. If this is the new normal, they’d better change the name to #Metoo-lympics. Or perhaps organise a winter- & summer Woke Games and leave us in peace.
