Tayseer Khaled: Israeli judiciary provides cover for war crimes and ethnic cleansing

Tayseer Khaled, member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), member of the political bureau of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, called on the Palestinian National Forces and civil society organizations to attend the public protest in Al Khan Al Ahmar village to prevent  Israeli authorities from  forcibly  evacuation the people  from  their land as a preliminary step to the demolition of other Bedouin communities in the area ,  isolating  Jerusalem completely from its Palestinian surroundings in the West Bank and to divide the West Bank into enclaves under Israeli security and administrative control, to put an end of establishing a viable and contiguous Palestinian state and to impose  self-rule to the population that does not exceed 40 percent of the occupied West Bank.

He stressed that the Israeli Supreme Court and its judges, who are responsible  to demolish the homes of Palestinian citizens  in Khan Al Ahmer , east of Jerusalem are committing  ethnic cleansing and charged of war crimes.

He added that the International Criminal Court , ICC bears in this context full responsibility for the slow transfer of settlement crimes and the accompanying ethnic cleansing to the judicial division to call for opening judicial inquiry , to send a clear message to the Government of Israel and its legislative, executive and judicial authorities and institutions that they will not be left with no  accountability for crimes committed against Palestinian citizens and their property in the occupied Palestinian territories since 1967.

Tayseer Khaled held the US administration responsible for the crimes committed by Israel in the West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem, and called on the international community to hold  its responsibilities and move from verbal condemnation of settlement crimes and crimes of ethnic cleansing to a practical policy of imposing sanctions on Israel.

He also called on  the  European Union to reconsider the EU- Israeli Association  agreement, especially since article II of the agreement , which was signed in 2000, stipulates the necessity and importance of Israel's commitment to respect human rights, including the rights of Palestinian citizens Under occupation.
