In an open letter to World Health Organization (WHO) and in a follow-up video interview, Dr. Geert Vanden Bossche recently claimed that by vaccinating everyone with a vaccine that does not prevent transmission, we are destroying people’s immune systems, and setting the stage for a global health disaster. The WHO has yet to respond.

On March 6, the renowned scientist Vanden Bossche (Ph.D., DVM) urged the WHO to launch a scientific debate on how ‘human intervention’ in the Covid pandemic are currently driving a phenomenon called ‘viral immune escape’.

He urges the WHO the invite him for a scientific hearing and a debate on the current standpoints of the WHO.

Van den Bossche is emphasizing that mass infection prevention and mass vaccination with leaky Covid-19 vaccines in the midst of the pandemic can only breed highly infectious variants. A concern other virologist also expressed in the past months.

If humans are “committed to perpetuating our species, we have no choice but to eradicate these highly infectious viral variants” via “large vaccination campaigns,” Vanden Bossche claims at the conclusion of his open letter.

Experience in virology
Van den Bossche received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from the University of Ghent, Belgium, and his PhD degree in Virology from the University of Hohenheim, Germany. He held adjunct faculty appointments at universities in both Belgium and Germany.

He worked in several vaccine companies such as GSK Biologicals, Novartis Vaccines, Solvay Biologicals to serve various roles in vaccine R&D as well as in late vaccine development. He then moved on to join the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s Global Health Discovery team in Seattle (USA) as Senior Program Officer.

In addition he worked with the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization (GAVI) in Geneva as Senior Ebola Program Manager. At GAVI he tracked efforts to develop an Ebola vaccine. He also represented GAVI in fora with other partners, including WHO, to review progress on the fight against Ebola and to build plans for global pandemic preparedness

In 2015 he questioned the safety of the Ebola vaccine that was used in ring vaccination trials conducted by WHO in Guinea.  He now serves as a Biotech/ Vaccine consultant while also conducting his own research on Natural Killer cell-based vaccines.

Current debate
In contrast to the wide variety of COVID vaccines used around the globe, he emphasizes that these new vaccines must focus on stimulation of mass production of the component of the immune system known as natural killer cells.

Vanden Bossche’s views were very quickly and positively received by high-profile vaccine skeptics around the world. That goes without saying.

That is not what Vanden Bossche wants.

At his personal site he further elaborates that he is not against the principle of vaccination. He merely wants to challenge the WHO check his statement and proposed argument. In addition he calls for a scientific debate.

Who could be against that? There is nothing wrong to start an open and constructive scientific debate on what is going on the world right now. It has yet to start.

Is that not what science is all about? Or, at least, should be about?

True science is not about debunking someone with alternative views in a disputable or sensational article, which - nowadays - goes viral via mainstream media outlets in hours. Debunking a scientific statements is not something a mainstream journalists should be bothered with. It is above his pay grade.

Science is carefully listening to someone’s arguments presented after a statement is made. They can only be countered with scientific arguments deriving from observation, analyses and experiment. Only then you can draw a conclusion if someone is right or not.

The WHO has not publicly responded to Vanden Bossche’s appeal.
