Uzbekistan in EXPO 2020 Dubai

The Fund for the Development of Culture and Arts is an official partner of the cultural programs of the National Pavilion of Uzbekistan, which is participating in the world exhibition EXPO 2020 Dubai.

At the World Expo 2020 in Dubai, the National Pavilion of Uzbekistan has been showcasing the country’s scientific and economic achievements, cultural heritage and tourism potential, as well as plans for the development of New Uzbekistan, investment opportunities to the wider international community.

During the world’s fair in Dubai, the Foundation for Development of Culture and Arts, in cooperation with the National Pavilion of Uzbekistan, will present a number of events aimed promoting the country’s cultural and tourism potential in the international arena.

Expo 2020 Dubai is scheduled to host nearly 25 million visitors worldwide by March 31, 2022.

Saida Mirziyoeva, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Foundation for Development of Culture and Arts:

“Today, as Uzbekistan is open to the world, ready to gain positive experience and gladly share its experience. We are laying a new foundation for the effective promotion of our country’s cultural potential in the international arena. In 2022, we will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and the UAE. These were three productive decades that taught us to trust each other, inspire new achievements, and interact at different levels and in different fields.  Therefore, Uzbekistan’s participation in EXPO 2020 Dubai is an important event that will give a new impetus to high-level dialogue with the United Arab Emirates, the host country and other participating countries”.

List of cultural programs of the National Pavilion of Uzbekistan participating in EXPO 2020 Dubai:

•  November 27, 2021. International presentation of the ballet “Lazgi – dance of heart and love” on the stage of the Dubai Opera;

•  November 29, 2021. Session of Uzbekistan on the “Role of women in the modernization of public life” at the Women’s Pavilion of the World Exhibition EXPO 2020 Dubai;

•  November 30, 2021. Concert program of pianist Bekhzod Abduraimov on the stage of Jubilee Park EXPO 2020;

•  December 19-21, 2021. Al Burda Festival (Folk music of Uzbekistan, films of our country will be performed. Also, our country will take part in a panel discussion on “City life: changing the Islamic space”).
