Damascus - reported by Khawla Hassan - Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar affirmed his country’s readiness to contribute to the reconstruction, underlining the necessity of solving the crisis in it politically by the Syrians only without any foreign interference.

Sana Agency news reported that Jaishankar, meeting Member of al-Baath Arab Socialist Party Regional Leadership, Mohsen Bilal, shed light on the distinguished and deep-rooted relations binding Syria and India, referring to the rapprochement in the viewpoints of the two countries on many issues.

He also expressed his country’s readiness to support Syria and its people in the stage of reconstruction after putting the final touches on the memos of understanding and agreements which will be signed by the two countries during the meetings of the Joint Syrian-Indian Committee scheduled to be held in March 2020.

Bilal talked about what Syria is facing of terrorist war and the outrageous Turkish interference in its internal affairs and the support provided by the Turkish Regime to terrorists in Idlib and in Northeastern Syria.

He added that Syria supported by its allies and the friendly states has been able to eliminate terrorism from most of its territories.

Bilal also met India’s Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, who expressed his country’s stance in rejection of any foreign interference in Syria’s affairs and its keenness on preserving Syria’s territorial integrity and its support to the political solution to the crisis in it.
