Uzbekistan plans to start production of electric vehicles

It is planned to implement a project for the production of electric vehicles on the basis of the Central Asia Motors joint enterprise in the Fergana region.

It is stated in the draft presidential decree on the investment program of Uzbekistan for 2022-2024, published by the MIFT on the Single Portal.

According to the document, the project will be implemented in 2021-2022 in cooperation with the Chinese company Hong Kong ZRSC Technology.

The cost of the project is $55 million, of which $43 million are foreign investments. The design capacity of the plant is 10,000 electric vehicles per year.

The President visits Baghdad district

On September 28, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Baghdad district of Fergana region.

More than 218 thousand people live in the district. For a long time, due attention was not paid to the construction sector, which is why the need for new housing has increased. In recent years, large-scale construction and landscaping activities have been carried out in the district.

7 multi-storey buildings were built in the district’s Guliston mahalla last year, and 61 multi-storey buildings this year.

Uzbekistan shoots a film about State Security Service

The Spectrum Film Studio filmed a documentary “Mustahkam” (“Durable”) by the order of the Cinematography Agency, together with the State Security Service of Uzbekistan.

The film, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the State Security Service, tells about the difficult professional activities in the life of employees of the State Security Service.

The screenwriter and film director is Furkat Usmanov, the cameraman – Jahongir Ibragimov, the second director – Muattar Mirrejabova, executive producer – Davronkhoja Abduganiyev.

The shooting was carried out mainly in the border areas of Tashkent and Tashkent region, as well as with the support of special forces of the State Security Service on the territory of historical monuments of Samarkand and Bukhara regions.

Andrew Parsons to visit Tashkent

President of the International Paralympic Committee, Andrew Parsons, will arrive in Uzbekistan on September 29.

According to the National Paralympic Committee of Uzbekistan, Andrew Parsons plans to visit sports and cultural complexes, get acquainted with conditions created for Paralympians. The program of the visit also includes an inspection of the Olympic town project intended for holding the Asian Youth Games in 2025 in Tashkent and a visit to the ancient monuments of Samarkand.

A conference “Development of team Paralympic sports in Uzbekistan” will be held.

Andrew Parsons will stay in Tashkent until October 2.

Famous French film actor Gérard Depardieu is expected to take part in Tashkent International Film Festival.

At the same time, the actor said that he does not care about the quality and genre of the film being shot, whether he will be the winner of international film festivals. Gérard Depardieu has starred in many films, including “Paris, je t'aime”, “Asterix and Obelix: God Save Britannia”, “Twentieth Century”, “Woman Next Door” and others.
